We were thrilled to work with the Colorado Stem Academy again this year by providing them with ROV’s (Remotely Operated Vehicles) that are created and enhanced with the design process. This is all driven by students and the frame building started this morning. A group of 5th graders were able to start constructing their ROVs along with the help of middle school mentors and volunteers. Through this building process, the students are able to learn about what ROVs are used for in environmental monitoring and exploration, as well as how they are designed to collect different kinds of information. Some of the students were even working on improving previously built ROVs by developing unique attachments that will allow the ROVs to take various measurements in the water. We can’t wait to continue building later this week!
